The Boone County Economic Development Corp. has appointed Megan Swain director of community development. In her new role, she will be responsible for "championing creative placemaking efforts and cultivating new business relations" for the organization.

Swain has previously held sales and customer service positions with Coca-Cola Co. and the Indianapolis Colts. She says she plans to work with the county’s municipalities and community organizations to leverage the county’s assets in order to grow business.
