The Indiana State Board of Education has elected Superintendent of Public Instruction Jennifer McCormick to lead the board. McCormick was elected to the state superintendent position in November, defeating incumbent Glenda Ritz. The board had been chaired by Ritz, which was the responsibility of the superintendent prior to this year.
