The Richmond Board of Public Works and Safety has approved naming a road after a former area business leader. Our partners at Kicks 96 report “Tom Raper Way” is being added to part of Williamsburg Pike in the city. Tom Raper launched the RV business in Richmond in 1946.

Today, Tom Raper RV employs around 200 and has locations in Richmond, Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio.

Some opponents were concerned changing the name of the road would negatively impact businesses on the route.

The postmaster in the area says businesses in the area will not have to change their addresses.
