Indianapolis-based BMWC Constructors Inc. has a new chief executive officer. The company says Chris Buckman accepted the position in addition to his previously-held role as president.
The appointment was effective January 1. In his new role, Buckman replaces Brian Acton who will remain with the company as executive chairman.
“We are proud to announce Chris Buckman’s election as the next Chief Executive Officer of BMWC and have great confidence in his ability to lead us toward continued successful growth while embracing our company’s core values built over 65+ years serving our clients,” said Action. “Chris’ collaborative leadership style, strong decision-making, and track record of aggressively building our national footprint positions him perfectly for leading BMWC into the future. He has professionally served our employees, clients and industry for 24 years and is perfectly suited for this position.”
Buckman joined the company as a project engineer in BMWC’s Indianapolis office in 1997. The company says Buckman led the introduction of sheet metal fabrication services and fire protection as part of expanding BMWC’s offerings.
