Indianapolis-based Bluelock has named Martin Van Buren chief operating officer. The information technology company says Van Buren previously served as a senior vice president for ITT. September 10, 2013

Indianapolis, Ind. – September 10, 2013 – Bluelock, a certified VMware vCloud Datacenter provider of Virtual Datacenters hosted in the public cloud, today announces the addition of Martin Van Buren as chief operating officer (COO).

Having spent more than 12 years as an executive leader, Van Buren brings a depth of knowledge to the Bluelock executive team with his experience leading organizations through technology-driven change. As COO, Mr. Van Buren will oversee Bluelock service delivery, development and engineering with a focus on driving operational efficiency to facilitate accelerated growth for Bluelock.

“Martin not only brings deep experience as an IT executive, but his leadership philosophy aligns well with Bluelock’s customer-focused culture,” said Christopher Clapp, president and CEO, Bluelock. “Martin brings a confident and positive energy to the team and will play a key part in our growth.”

Prior to joining Bluelock, Martin Van Buren served as the CIO and senior vice president of learning technologies for ITT. During his eight years at ITT, Van Buren helped the organization attain new levels of success including overseeing a datacenter migration and an enterprise-wide virtualization project while also upgrading change management and control processes. Prior to ITT, Van Buren was a senior manager at Deloitte, serving the process and technology improvement practice; his other experiences include Ernst & Young and Westinghouse. Van Buren earned his M.S. in Industrial Administration at Carnegie Mellon and received his B.S. in Finance and Management at the University of Pittsburgh.
