The board of directors for the Bloomington Health Foundation has selected Heather Robinson as the organization’s interim president and chief executive officer. The decision comes two months after former CEO Jonathan Barada announced he was stepping down.

Robinson currently serves as chief financial officer and director of operations for BHF. She also previously served as vice president of operations for the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce.

“While we evaluate the field of candidates for our new leadership, we are extremely proud and grateful to have Heather step into this position. She is a valuable asset to our organization and extremely dedicated to the BHF mission of creating a positive impact on the health of our community,” BHF Board Chair Tedd Green said in a news release. “She will provide excellent insight and support as we navigate this transitional leadership period and continue to move forward with our mission.”

The foundation says the search for finding a permanent president and CEO is underway. Robinson will hold the position on an interim basis until that person is named.
