Bloomington Economic Development Corp. Hires President

The Bloomington Economic Development Corp. has hired Jennifer Pearl as president. Pearl will succeed Lynn Coyne, who will retire after serving as BEDC president since 2014.

A search committee of BEDC members and local stakeholders chose Pearl after interviewing several candidates.

“Jennifer is an economic development strategist with experience in engaging companies and partners to advance a regional economy.  We are excited that she has joined our team to advance employment opportunities and economic development in Bloomington and Monroe County,” said Mark Figg, BEDC Chair.

Pearl will manage the implementation of projects and programs, including B-Start and the Bloomington Life Sciences Partnership. She most recently served as Director of International Programs for the Indy Partnership.
