Big Ten Conference Career Expo Set For Indy

Students and alumni from the 14 universities in the Big Ten Conference will have the opportunity to connect with employers next month in Indianapolis. The Big Ten Conference Career Expo will take place as the conference’s men’s and women’s basketball tournaments return to Indy.

The expo will be held Thursday, March 10 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Union Station in downtown Indianapolis. Registration for the expo is free and open to Big Ten students and alumni.

"This event is a way for the Big Ten Conference to connect with Indianapolis in a way that goes beyond the great basketball tournaments we’ll host in March," said Donna Wilkinson, senior vice president of human resources for Pacers Sports & Entertainment. "It’s proven to be a great tool to connect companies with students from the conference. The employers have let us know they regularly follow up with the students after the event."

The Indiana Sports Corp. says the expo will feature employer booths and a cyber cafe with career counselors to assist students with interviewing skills and resume reviews. There will also be a special session focused on sports careers at 10:30 a.m.
