A fourth-generation southwest Indiana landmark is set to change hands. The Big Peach, located off U.S. 41 in Bruceville, is slated to be auctioned next month. Co-Owner Margo Donnar, who has owned the farm market with her husband since 1978 is planning to retire. Vincennes-based Snider Auctions and Appraisals Inc. will handle the sale. Co-Owners Bruce and Margo Donnar considered selling the business last year, but had a change of heart.

The Yates family started a peach orchard on the property in 1954.

Margo's father bought it in 1968 and ran the market for 10 years.

She says the business is a “seven-day-a-week, six-month” commitment and they wish to step away while they are still healthy.
