(Nasdaq: FINL) will next month celebrate the completion of a $4.5 million project. The Finish Line Boys & Girls Club will include a full-size gymnasium, learning center and computer lab.
The new facility will also feature an exercise room, game room, art room, kitchen and cafeteria. The organization says the center will serve the Far Eastside, which has a poverty level significantly higher than the rest of Marion County.
The Finish Line donated $1.25 million to the project. The company is partnering with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis to host a weekend of events to celebrate the completion of the new facility. Events will include an "Adult Recess" on Friday, April 29 and a Community Day Open House on Saturday, April 30.
In a release, Finish Line Youth Foundation President Mary Posch said, "As we approach opening day of this facility, the level of excitement continues to build for our Finish Line team as we anticipate the positive impact we will see in our Far Eastside neighborhood. Everyone involved with Boys & Girls Clubs Indianapolis pours their heart and soul into creating an environment where children thrive and we are proud to partner with them on this journey."
