Don Van Winkle has been appointed board president of the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association. He is president and chief operating officer at Jasper-based Kimball International Inc. He succeeds Sylvain Garneau, Group Lacasse. Van Winkle previously served as board vice president/president elect.

BIFMA is the trade association for business and institutional furniture manufacturers. Since 1973, BIFMA has been the voice of the commercial furniture industry. The association is led by a board of directors, including many current industry executives such as Van Winkle, who has served on the board for seven years prior to appointment as president.
