Bethel Board Renews President’s Contract

The Bethel College Governing Board of Trustees has extended the contract for the college’s president. Gregg Chenoweth, who became president in 2013, will remain in his position through 2021.
The board voted unanimously to approve the contract extension. Board Chairman Brian Hamil said the extension reflects the board’s confidence in Chenoweth’s leadership.
"Dr. Chenoweth has exhibited exemplary leadership as the president of Bethel College," said board member Jerry Thacker. "The Board enthusiastically supports Dr. Chenoweth and is thankful that he is Bethel’s president."
During Chenoweth’s tenure, the college has enrolled its largest graduating class in history and its largest freshman class in five years. The college says it has added a new softball stadium, an athletic park entrance, a second formal entrance, and expects to complete fundraising for a $1 million nursing facility expansion by the end of the year.
