The 2016 edition has 100 companies ranging in size from 15-75 employees to more than 1,000. Merrillville-based Centier Bank is in the large business category and is appearing on the list for a 10th time. Chief Executive Officer Mike Schrage says the honor reflects that "culture comes first" at his privately-owned family company.
The rankings of this year’s award winners will be unveiled May 5 as part of an annual Best Places awards dinner. The event will also recognize The program, Edward Jones and Katz, Sapper & Miller, who have been on the list each of the even years. Fourteen companies are considered in the "Hall of Fame" category for appearing on the list at least two-thirds of the program’s existence. The program will highlight companies that have finished first in their category at least three times in a five-year period. These "Pinnacle" companies are Edward Jones, Hollingsworth & Zivitz PC, Microsoft and Sikich LLP.
Nearly half of this year’s list, 48 in all, are companies of fewer than 75 employees. Inside INdiana Business is a media partner of the event. You can find out more about the event and how to register for future consideration by clicking here.
