Berry Plastics Promotes Salmon to CEO

Subscribe NowThe board of directors for Evansville-based Berry Plastics Group Inc. has promoted Tom Salmon (pictured) to chief executive officer. He previously served as president and chief operating officer. Salmon succeeds Jon Rich. Salmon joined the company in 2007 following the acquisition of Covalence Specialty Materials. Since that time, he has served in a variety of roles, including president of the company’s Engineered Materials, Rigid Closed Top and Consumer Packaging divisions. Rich, who has served as CEO since 2010, announced his plans to retire in September. He will continue as executive chairman of the board.
