Benchmark Names New CEO

Fort Wayne-based Benchmark Human Services has a new chief executive officer. Doug Beebe, who most recently served as president of residential services for the organization, succeeds Bill Swiss, who has left the role after more than 30 years.
Beebe joined Benchmark in 2014 as vice president, where he oversaw programs in central and southern Indiana, as well as the east coast. Before joining the organization, Beebe served as CEO of Community Rehabilitation Hospital in Indianapolis.
"I have watched the evolution of Benchmark for over 30 years. When I was given a chance to join the team, I jumped at it," said Beebe. "The dynamic and innovative thinking that has been a hallmark of Swiss’ leadership has led to great diversity in our services. I am excited about the opportunities ahead of us as our field will undergo dramatic shifts over the next few years. Innovation and responsiveness will be keys to our continued success in providing supports to people in the community."
Swiss will continue with Benchmark as a senior corporate advisor. Benchmark provides care to people with mental illness and intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout the country.
