Bedford Company Lands Big Military Contract

A Bedford-based company has been awarded a major contract from the U.S. Department of Defense. Tri-County Builders Co. Inc. will receive $20 million for work to be done at Naval Support Activity Crane.
Tri-County Builders will conduct magazine and inert building maintenance, repairs and construction services at the naval base. The work is expected to be competed by January 2019.
The DOD says all of the work will be done in Crane. The contract comes on the heels of Duke Energy’s announcement last month that it will build a 17-megawatt solar facility at NSA Crane. The facility is expected to be in service later this year.
