Basketball Hall Announces Women’s Class of 2018

The Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in New Castle has unveiled the inductees for its 2018 women’s class. The honorees include a former Miss Basketball and Gatorade Player of the Year, a current head coach at the University of Toledo, as well as a long-time radio broadcaster in Jackson County.
The Class of 2018 will be honored April 28 at the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame’s Annual Women’s Awards Banquet. The honorees represent the 17th women’s induction class.
The inductees include:
- Cara (Gullion) Alfele, Scottsburg High School, Class of 1988
- Linda (Allen) Bamrick, Roncalli High School, Class of 1980
- Tricia Cullop, North Knox High School, Class of 1989
- Jennifer (Cole) Davis, Valparaiso High School, Class of 1989
- Marla (Inman) Eltrevoog, Bedford North Lawrence High School, Class of 1992
- Shannon (Freeman) Frogge, Jay County High School, Class of 1986
- Cheri (Shanebrook) Gilbert, Woodlan High School, Class of 1972
- Cindy Lamping, Batesville High School, Class of 1991
- Vicki Lander, Benjamin Bosse High School (Evansville), Class of 1987
- Beth (Piepenbrink) Schwecke, Mooresville High School, Class of 1979
- Dana (Drew) Shaw, Valparaiso High School, Class of 1990
- Indiana Fever Silver Medal Award Winner: Bud Shippee, Seymour High School, Class of 1970
