BASi Names CFO Blumhoff will also serve as vice president of finance.

West Lafayette-based Bioanalytical Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: BASI) has named Jill Blumhoff chief financial officer. She has served as director of finance for the pharmaceutical development company since 2013.

Blumhoff’s previous experience also includes multiple financial roles at Wabash National Corp. in Lafayette and Ernst & Young LLP. She succeeds Jeffrey Portzebowski, who retired earlier this week.

BASi Chief Executive Officer Jacqueline Lemke calls Blumhoff "a valued member of the finance team who has been instrumental in guiding BASI during a period of significant change at our company." In a release, she said, "Jill’s knowledge and understanding of BASi’s business as well as her leadership of the financial team in support (of) all areas of the operations, will enable BASi to focus on our highest-potential growth opportunities."

Blumhoff, a University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign graduate, will also serve as vice president of finance.
