The World Baseball Academy in Fort Wayne has announced a $6.5 million fundraising campaign to revamp its facility. Plans call for new artificial turf fields, plus upgrades to parking lots, stands and press boxes. You can view the capital campaign's brochure by clicking here.

The complex is comprised of 26 acres of fields and training facilities.

The organization says its annual Hoosier Baseball Classic tournament had a more than $1 million impact on the area economy last year.

More than 2,800 boys and girls take part in WBA programs annually.
