Barrett McNagny LLP has added Robert Kistler to the firm. He previously worked for nearly a decade in the area of employee benefits at the Fort Wayne office of a national firm. Kistler also served in the U.S. Army for over 10 years in various leadership and staff positions. He will concentrate his practice in the area of employee benefits and ERISA compliance. Kistler works with employers, plan administrators and service providers on plan design and administration, fiduciary responsibilities, plan compliance, and plan corrections.

He is a member of the Allen County and American Bar Associations. Kistler is a graduate of the Indiana State Bar Association’s Leadership Development Academy and has served as a member of the LDA committee since 2015. From 2012-2014, he chaired the Military and Veterans’ Affairs Committee of the Indiana State Bar Association. Kistler is active in Honor Flight of Northeast Indiana and helped create the Indiana Lawyers for Soldiers program. In 2014, he received the Pro Bono Publico Award from the Indiana Bar Foundation and the Indiana Pro Bono Commission for his work assisting veterans. 

Kistler received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Toledo College of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif. Kistler has a B.S. in business administration with highest honors from the University of South Dakota. He has been admitted to practice before the Indiana State Courts and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.
