Congressman Jim Banks (R-3) will Wednesday host a job fair on the campus of IPFW. More than 70 employers from northeast Indiana will be on hand in an effort to fill 2,300 positions.
The job fair will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the International Ballroom, located inside Walb Union on the Fort Wayne campus. Banks’ office says the employers in attendance represent a number of industries, including agriculture, finance and insurance, education, government, healthcare and social assistance, manufacturing and retail.
Employers will be looking to fill positions such as assemblers, human resource generalists, medical assistance, medical coding specialists, engineers, registered nurses, and welders, among many others. Job seekers will also receive resume assistance and interview coaching from WorkOne Northeast, if needed.
Both the job fair and training opportunities are free and open to the public.
