Ball State University has announced plans to open an office in Fort Wayne. The Star Press reports it will include one staff member and be located in the city's downtown. Ball State's Building Better Communities Office Associate Vice President of Economic Development and Community Engagement John Fallon tells the publication the school will fill the role this week.

The university does not initially intend to offer classes at the office.

Ball State also has learning centers located in Fishers and Indianapolis, which offer classroom space, professional development events and workshops.
