The acting provost at Ball State University has died. The Ball State Daily News reports Robert Morris had been hospitalized a month ago for an infection.
In an email to faculty, staff and students, Interim President Terry King said, "We extend our heartfelt sympathy to his family and close friends." The publication reports Marilyn Buck, senior associate provost, will continue to fill in for Morris, which she has done since his hospitalization.
Morris also served as vice president of academic affairs for Ball State. King says information on funeral services would be available once the arrangements have been made.
