The Ball Brothers Foundation has honored Stefanie Onieal with its Excellence in Teaching Award. She has been an educator for more than 20 years and currently teaches elementary education at Burris Laboratory School in Muncie. Onieal has experience in special education, reading recovery, technology literacy and has served as a math coach.

The award is presented annually to a Delaware County teacher who incorporates 21st century skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity and collaboration.
