Evansville-based Azzip Pizza is growing with two new locations set to open later this year. The fast-casual pizza chain announced this week it plans to open new stores in West Lafayette and Terre Haute, bringing its total number of locations in Indiana to 13.
Azzip Pizza was founded by CEO Brad Niemeier, who came up with the idea while he was a student at Purdue University. The company celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2024.
The new stores would be the second locations for each city. Niemeier said he is excited to be expanding in markets that already know the Azzip brand well.
“We’ve been lucky to serve guests in Terre Haute and Lafayette for many years and can’t wait to continue to build on what we’ve started in these two cities. The Azzip concept was born at Purdue, started in Evansville, and has most of its roots in Indiana. We are looking forward to growing our great teams.”
Azzip Pizza features personal thin-crust and Detroit-style pizzas with monthly specialty pizzas. The company also features zero-carb pizza crusts from another Evansville company, ZeroCarb Lyfe.
The new West Lafayette location at 939 Sagamore Parkway West in the Town Square center is expected to open this summer. The Terre Haute location, at 2499 South State Road 46 near the new Terre Haute Casino Resort is planned for fall 2025.
Azzip Pizza also has locations in Evansville, Newburgh, Bloomington, and Indianapolis, as well as Bowling Green and Owensboro, Kentucky.
