Avon High School has promoted Dustin McKinney to assistant principal. He replaced Jim Ludlow, who retired in December. McKinney has been a social studies teacher at the high school for nearly two years. He also previously served as principal (grades 7-12) at Lakewood Park Christian School.

McKinney graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a B.S. in Education and History and earned his M.A. in Educational Leadership from Western Governors University.
