The Avon Education Foundation has named Sara Bender executive director. She previously served as marketing consultant for Sonshine Family Dental. Bender has also served in other business development and marketing positions.

She is a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University with a B.S. in Business Management and a B.S. in Marketing and Purdue University a M.S. in Hospitality and Tourism Management.
