‘Avengers’ Star to Wave Green Flag at Indy 500

Hollywood star Chris Hemsworth will wave the green flag as honorary starter for this year’s Indianapolis 500. The actor, who plays Thor in the box office record-breaker "Avengers: Infinity War," serves as a brand ambassador for TAG Heuer, a major sponsor of the race. Hemsworth also starred as Formula One legend James Hunt in the 2013 biographical movie "Rush."

He says "I am very excited for the Indy 500 this year. As a TAG Heuer ambassador and motorsport fan, it’s an incredible honor to wave the green flag. It is going to be an exciting moment, and I am happy to be here with TAG Heuer." Tag Heuer is the official timepiece of the Indy 500 and the Verizon IndyCar Series and extended its partnership with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and series in March.
