Two automotive suppliers are seeking tax abatement to grow operations in Indianapolis. Reflex&Allen USA Inc. has announced plans to invest $1.5 million in new equipment and create 48 jobs by 2018. Innovative Coating Solutions Inc. wants to invest $1.8 million to establish its first production facility and hire 45 over the next five years. Reflex&Allen USA says its growth is being spurred by a new contract with Volvo Car Corp. to produce a tube used in its manufacturing process. The company currently employs 38.

Innovative Coating Solutions is a joint venture between Toyota Tsusho America Inc. and Saski Manufacturing. The firm plans to primarily supply parts for the US-based Toyota Motor Manufacturing and Honda Motor Manufacturing facilities, including those in Lafayette and Greensburg.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Development Commission is set to take a preliminary vote on both requests on July 17, with potential final approval coming August 7.
