Auburn-based Auctions America’s Auburn Fall Collector Car Weekend is underway and expected to draw tens of thousands of enthusiasts. The event attracts global interest and is part of a big weekend for the community, which is hosting the 45th annual Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival.
This year’s auction, the fifth since being purchased by Auctions America by RM, will include more than 1,000 vehicles at the historic Auburn Auction Park.
Previous year estimates peg attendance for the auction at between 80,000 and 100,000.
During a special presentation Sunday, the company will auction a 1994 Chevrolet Impala SS, with all proceeds from the sale supporting the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum in the DeKalb County city.
