The Indiana State Fair Commission is touting what it calls a “great success” for this year’s fair. The commission says 837,568 people attended the fair, which featured a post-pandemic schedule.

This year’s attendance number is an increase over last year, which saw 830,390 people. However, it remains well below 2019, which had 878,857 people.

The record for State Fair attendance is 978,296, which was set in 2013.

The 2022 State Fair featured an adjusted schedule, which included adding a weekend and closing every Monday and Tuesday.

The commission says many vendors and partners reported record sales during this year’s fair. About 6,600 exhibitors were on hand to show or display a total of 45,739 animal and non-animal projects.

“We were challenged with a few days of hot summer heat, but thankful that we had mostly beautiful weather,” Cindy Hoye, Indiana State Fair Commission executive director, said in written remarks. “We are proud that no other State Fair brings 4-H project work and agriculture to life like the Indiana State Fair.”

Next year’s Indiana State Fair will take place July 28 through August 20, keeping the schedule of being closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

If the headline sounds ominous, that’s by design. This is not hyperbole. The United States is funding numerous Chinese companies—many with ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the Chinese military. This is the very country which, by all accounts, is posing the most serious threat to our national security in our lifetime....
