AT&T Upgrades Indy Area Service

AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) has boosted its service in central Indiana. The company has upgraded nearly 90 cell sites in Indianapolis and surrounding areas, including Brownsburg, Carmel, Greenwood, Lawrence and Shelbyville.
AT&T says the cell sites have an expanded band of radio frequencies, which will lead to faster speeds.
"There’s no question that access to speedy mobile Internet service is key to our community’s continued success," said Indianapolis City-County Councillor Mike McQuillen (R-4). "It’s great to see these improvements by AT&T and I appreciate the company’s investment in the area."
The move is the latest from AT&T, which has upgraded service in communities throughout Indiana this year, including Batesville, Versailles, Portland, Nineveh, Wakarusa and Wawaka.
