AT&T Upgrades Cell Sites

As a subscriber you can listen to articles at work, in the car, or while you work out. Subscribe NowAT&T has upgraded and enhanced cell towers on its 4G LTE network in southeastern Indiana. The cell sites are located in Franklin, Jefferson, Jennings, Ripley, Scott and Switzerland counties.
The cell site locations include:
- Franklin County, south side of Brookville near Highway 52
- Jefferson County; west of Lancaster, State Road 250 near the county line
- Jennings County; Nebraska, Highway 50 near the eastern county line
- Ripley County; Penntown, intersection of Interstate 74 and State Road 101
- Scott County; Scottsburg, Interstate 65 on the northwest side of the city
- Switzerland County; two cell sites near Pleasant and East Enterprise, State Road 250
“Whether it’s agriculture or education, public safety or economic development, Southeast Indiana counts on having access to fast, reliable mobile Internet service,” said State Rep. Terry Goodin. “This latest investment by AT&T is a welcome one, as it ensures that we can get things accomplished quickly and serve our businesses and citizens well.”

That’s why we’re extending our 4G network for southeast Indiana residents and businesses,” said Bill Soards, president of AT&T Indiana. “We want to help them get the most out of their mobile devices – whether they’re watching videos, texting, or using social media.”
AT&T says the upgrades will give customers faster, more reliable wireless service.
