AT&T says the designation will help attract new businesses and investment to southwest Indiana. The company says this is the first AT&T fiber ready location in the state.
AT&T says it placed fiber optic cable in the Vanderburgh Industrial Park to "ensure the best in fiber-based technology for businesses and industries."
AT&T Indiana President Bill Soards will be in Evansville on Monday to speak with Mayor Lloyd Winnecke, Congressman Larry Bucshon and other local leaders about the company’s investment in the River City. The event starts at 10:00 a.m. at Vanderburgh Industrial Park. The site is located at 15000 Foundation Dive.
