Evansville-based Atlas Van Lines has promoted Ryan McConnell to president and chief operating officer. McConnell, who has been with the company for 20 years, most recently served as vice president of strategic planning.
Atlas says McConnell will be responsible for leading the company’s household goods division in the U.S., which includes transportation services, corporate marketing, revenue distribution, customer service, agency development, and information technology.
“Ryan has been involved in nearly every facet of the business and has been integral to the strategic growth and innovation of the Atlas enterprise,” Jack Griffin, chief executive officer of parent Atlas World Group, said in written remarks. “With Ryan at the helm, I am confident in the continued success of our largest subsidiary.”
A native of Boonville, McConnell joined Atlas in 2002 as director of sales and marketing and has moved up the ranks, holding several leadership positions, including vice president of corporate marketing.
Atlas Van Lines is the flagship subsidiary of Atlas World Group, also headquartered in Evansville. The parent company is comprised of multiple subsidiaries, including Atlas Van Lines International, Atlas Logistics, and Titan Global Distribution.
Atlas World Group employs nearly 650 people in Indiana and reported nearly $974 million in revenue in 2021, according to IBJ research.
