An assisted living center in Muncie plans to spend $17 million to upgrade its facility. The Muncie Star Press reports Westminster Village is adding an auditorium and event center, along with fitness, wellness and rehab facilities. The project does not include expanding the number of skilled-care beds or apartments on the Bethel Avenue campus.

Westminster has already broken ground on the project; however, the timeline to complete it is unclear.

The facility opened in 1974 and houses 76 skilled-care beds and 200 apartments.
