Hamilton County-based New Age Health Care LLC has announced plans to shut down its developmental center. In a notice to the state, the assisted living provider says the move will affect 100 employees. New Age Health Care says the closing was prompted by a state order to immediately transition all residents of the Arcadia Development Center to other facilities.

The order came from the Indiana Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services, provides services such as placement for Hoosiers with developmental disabilities.

New Age has indicated some employee separations already started Tuesday. The move is expected to be permanent.
