Anderson-based Aspire Indiana Health Inc. has selected David Dwyer as its first medical director of primary care. Dwyer previously served as a doctor of internal medicine at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville.

AIH says the appointment of Dwyer comes at a period of "substantial expansion" for the organization. AIH currently operates in Anderson, Elwood, Carmel and Indianapolis, and has plans to expand into Noblesville and Boone County this year.

"Dr. Dwyer brings to the organization a passion for teaching and training others, a stellar career of providing internal medical care, and kindness and humility to understand that, as a medical provider, his role is to help guide the patient in their wellness journey," said Syd Ehmke, chief operating officer of AIH. "The AIH team of medical providers look forward to learning from Dr. Dwyer and using this knowledge to help take better care of our clients."

AIH is an affiliate partner of Noblesville-based nonprofit Aspire Indiana, which recently celebrated the opening of its new facility in Lebanon.
