Global Company to Open U.S. HQ in Elkhart

Furrion, which has its main office in Hong Kong and locations throughout the world, will Thursday celebrate the grand opening of its U.S. headquarters in Elkhart. The manufacturer says the facility will initially house 30 employees with the potential to add 50 more over the next year.
Furrion did not immediately disclose an investment total for the facility. The 35,000 square-foot building will house the company’s U.S. sales and marketing operations, as well as product testing, showrooms, robotics, research and development, customer care and a helipad.
The facility is powered by 100 percent renewable energy, thanks to a solar array on the roof.
Furrion manufactures are variety of products, including home appliances, electronics, vehicle accessories and solar energy technology, among others. As part of the grand opening ceremony, the company will debut what it says is the world’s first Exo-bionic Racing Mech, known as PROSTHESIS. The 14-foot tall, electric-powered robotic machine designed for off-road racing.
Furrion says, following the debut, the Elkhart facility will house training for PROSTHESIS pilots in addition to the development of additional mechs. You can learn more about the concept by clicking here.
