Ascend Indiana continues network expansion
Ascend Indiana, an initiative of the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership, continues to grow its list of partnerships with universities that want to take advantage of the initiative’s online job matching platform. Indiana State University is the latest school to connect with Ascend Network, a platform that helps to connect students with Indiana jobs and internships.
More than 600 employers are currently using the network.
The organization helps match student skills sets and interests with companies throughout the Hoosier State. Currently, more than 600 Indiana employers are using the network.
The system provides increased one-on-one guidance.
“Indiana State University is deeply committed to preparing graduates to meet the State of Indiana’s workforce needs,” said Dr. Nancy Brattain Rogers, Vice President of University Engagement. “Re-igniting our relationship with Ascend will provide additional opportunities for ISU students to connect with outstanding Indiana employers.”
Since its inception in 2017, Ascend has connected more than 3,000 Hoosiers with jobs and training opportunities in all sectors across the state
“It is critical for Indiana to retain more college students with relevant skills and abilities to meet employer demand for talent,” said Jason Kloth, President and CEO of Ascend Indiana. “Partnering with educational institutions like Indiana State University is essential to equipping students with the necessary tools to get their career started here through an internship or early-in-career job, as well as to helping Indiana employers connect to the talent they need.”
Last week, Inside INdiana Business reported on three other universities that are now part of the Ascend Network, including Butler University, Hanover College, and the University of St. Francis.
