Arts Commission Unveils Grant Recipients

Subscribe NowThe Indiana Arts Commission has announced the recipients of more than $2 million in grants for the 2019 fiscal year. The organization says 425 community-based arts providers throughout the state will share in the funding.
The commission approved the funding last month during its quarterly business meeting in Indianapolis. The funding comes from the commission’s Arts Organization Support, Arts Project Support, Regional Arts Partner Block Grants, Regional Arts Partner, and Project Support grant programs.
The majority of the grants will be distributed through the IAC’s 11 regions to small and mid-sized organizations through Regional Initiative Grants. Some of the largest grant awards include:
- Indianapolis Museum of Art Inc. – $38,376
- The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis – $38,376
- Indiana Symphony Society Inc. – $38,376
- The Fort Wayne Philharmonic Orchestra Inc. – $34,632
- Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science – $34,632
