The Indiana Arts Commission has elected its executive committee officers. Kathy Anderson has been named chair. She is involved with the Brown County Playhouse, Indiana Heritage Arts and the Nashville Arts and Entertainment Commission. Anderson is also a member of the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music Advocacy Board and Women’s Philanthropy Leadership Council. She is a graduate of Indiana University’s School of Nursing.
Allen Platt III, general counsel for Samtex Inc., has been appointed vice chair. He has served as board president for various art organizations, such as The Carnegie Center for Arts and History, Arts Council of Southern Indiana and the Hayswood Theatre Group, where he serves as board treasurer. Platt has been a lifelong participant in the arts, performing with the JCC Orchestra, Louisville, Kentucky, and as a frequent actor and director in regional community theatrical productions.
Jennifer Perry, chief marketing officer for BoxUp, has been named secretary. She previously owned Marketability, a Terre-Haute based marketing agency. In addition to her work with the professional creative community, Perry consulted with several local and state arts organizations.
