Ice Miller LLP has added Areeba Ghouri, of counsel, to the firm’s labor, employment and immigration group. She focuses her practice on employment-based immigration, including obtaining approval for all types of employment visas. Ghouri previously served as a graduate law clerk in immigration law. She worked with clients to acquire victim-based immigration relief, lawful permanent status in the United States for family-based and employment-based cases, nonimmigrant employment visas for professionals in specialty occupations and visas for intra-company transferees.

Ghouri received her juris doctor from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2017 with a graduate certificate in corporate and commercial law. During law school, she completed legal internships at Indiana Legal Services Inc., the American Civil Liberties Union and Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in the Health and Human Rights and Immigration Legal Clinics. Also, Ghouri worked as a law clerk in the civil litigation section of the Indiana Attorney General’s Office.
