The Chicago-based parent company of one of the largest employers in northwest Indiana has named Robrecht Himpe chief executive officer. In the new position, Himpe will oversee ArcelorMittal Mexico, ArcelorMittal Dofasco and ArcelorMittal North America Tubular Products. Himpe will remain based at the steelmaker’s operation near the Alabama Gulf Coast. He serves as executive vice president of ArcelorMittal and CEO of the Calvert, Alabama operation. He will help push forward the company’s Action 2020 efforts. The company has five facilities in the northern part of the state.
