The Luxembourg-based parent of one of the largest employers in the northwest part if the state has announced changes at the top. ArcelorMittal Group Chief Financial Officer and Europe Chief Executive Officer Aditya Mittal has been named president, reporting to his father, ArcelorMittal Chairman and CEO Lakshmi Mittal.

The senior Mittal said "Aditya has proved himself an effective and accomplished manager as Group CFO and CEO of our European operations, delivering results and creating value for the company. He will continue to work with me in shaping the future strategic direction of the group."

ArcelorMittal has operations in East Chicago’s Indiana Harbor, Burns Harbor and New Carlisle.
