ArcelorMittal, a global steelmaker with a major presence in northwest Indiana, has named Brad Davey chief executive officer for its North American operations and a member of the group management committee. He will report directly to Chairman and CEO Lakshmi Mittal. Davey previously served as vice president and chief marketing officer for ArcelorMittal North America. He joined the company’s technology department in 1986 before progressing to management.

Davey holds a bachelor of engineering from McMaster University. He succeeds Robrecht Himpe, who recently announced his retirement as CEO and executive vice president. Himpe will officially retire on July 1, after 37 years with the company.
