Aramark to End Operations at Butler

Aramark Educational Services LLC has detailed plans to lay off 200 workers in Indianapolis. In a notice to the state, the company says the decision is the result of Butler University not renewing its contract to provide food services on the campus.
Aramark says it plans to permanently terminate all employees on May 12. However, the company says displaced employees may have the opportunity to apply for positions with the new food services provider at Butler.
The announcement comes three years after Aramark made a similar move at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology after the school decided not to retain its services.
