Aprimo Adds ADAM Software
Chicago-based tech company Aprimo, which was founded in Indianapolis and has research and development operations in the city, has acquired a Belgian firm. Aprimo Chief Executive Officer John Stammen says the acquisition of ADAM Software will allow Aprimo to further its marketing asset management solutions.
The Aprimo name was revived last year after a five-year stretch that involved it being sold twice. The company became Teradata Marketing Applications under its previous owner and was combined last year with Revenew Inc., another company acquired by an affiliate of Marlin Equity Partners, to reform Aprimo. The digital marketing company was founded in the late-1990s in Indianapolis and has helped contribute to the city’s industry prowess along the way.
Aprimo says it shares marketing strategies and "an overlapping client base" with ADAM. Stammen says "our merger with ADAM will further expand our marketing asset management solutions and enable us to offer a complete enterprise-class content solution. The combination creates a robust platform that addresses the growing content needs of marketers worldwide, with the strategic planning, intelligent workflow, and insights offered through Aprimo. As a leader in marketing operations, we are firmly committed to bring the best-in-class marketing hub to CMOs and empowering their teams to have one place to go for the visibility and agility they need to get richer content and campaigns in market–on plan and across all channels. This acquisition directly supports that commitment."
Financial terms of the deal for ADAM Software were not disclosed and the company did not state whether any jobs would be affected. Aprimo has offices in Chicago, Indianapolis and London.
