Anthem Inc. has promoted Scott Towers to president of the company’s dental business. He steps into this role after eight years with the company. In his new role, Towers will be responsible for developing strategy and managing the profit and loss for the dental business. This includes accountability for product development, operations, underwriting, and network development. Since joining Anthem in 2009 as part of Anthem’s acquisition of DeCare Dental, Towers has been an integral part of the Dental business Leadership team. Most recently, he was responsible for Anthem’s dental underwriting, product development and analytics and has more than 20 years experience in the dental benefits industry. Towers earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota. He has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. Towers succeeds Mike Malouf who has decided to step down from the position.
