News Release

Jeffersonville, Ind. — One Southern Indiana today announced Catamaran Corp. (NASDAQ: CTRX, TSX: CCT), a provider of pharmacy benefit management and technology services, will build a facility that will employ pharmacists, technicians, call-center personnel and others at the River Ridge Commerce Center in Jeffersonville, Ind. Catamaran , an Illinois-based company, has already begun site work to construct the facility to support BriovaRx, its national specialty brand that delivers personalized, holistic care to patients with complex, chronic conditions.

This good news marks One Southern Indiana’s (1si) 96th economic development announcement since the organization’s creation in July 2006. As the local economic development organization, 1si serves Clark and Floyd counties in southern Indiana. The decision by Catamaran Corp. to establish a new facility in southern Indiana means the company will inject new payroll dollars annually into the regional economy, and it will invest in new taxable capital in Clark County.

“Though we evaluated several different states and regions during our comprehensive site search, southern Indiana, specifically the Jeffersonville area, offered the most strategic location and advantageous economic incentives, in addition to a strong workforce and great business climate,” said Joel Saban, executive vice president, pharmacy operations, at Catamaran. “We look forward to building an industry-leading facility that further strengthens BriovaRx's high-touch, patient-centric offering.”

The build-to-suit facility, to be located on Patrol Road, is scheduled to open for business in November. Information about Catamaran may be found on the company’s website at

The recognition of the region’s strengths and its appeal to a growing company in the health-services industry was heralded by local officials.

“Catamaran's plan to build a new facility at the River Ridge Commerce Center is just tremendous,” said Jeffersonville Mayor Mike Moore. “This project represents a significant step forward in terms of the types of jobs we want to attract to the City of Jeffersonville. Economic development is a competitive game, and a victory like this is an endorsement of Jeffersonville’s competitive edge in the global arena. We welcome Catamaran to our community with enthusiasm!”

“We're delighted Catamaran, a growing business in an expanding industry, has picked southern Indiana as the place to build a brand-new facility to support its BriovaRx brand,” said Wendy Dant Chesser, president and CEO of 1si. “For the leadership of this dynamic company to believe a significant key to their own future success exists in our region speaks volumes about what we offer here in Clark and Floyd counties. Catamaran’s decision to establish a specialty pharmacy here, and the resulting excellent job opportunities, is a great match for our community.”

Catamaran currently operates 11 other specialty pharmacy facilities across the country. The company also recently opened a Center of Excellence in Indianapolis.
